EB-5 Immigrant Investor

Immigrant investor program for capital investment creating U.S. jobs.

About this visa

EB-5 provides an immigrant pathway for eligible investors who make the required qualifying investment in a U.S. commercial enterprise and satisfy job-creation requirements. The required investment amount and applicable rules depend on the investment and its classification.

The case must address the lawful source and path of funds, qualifying capital at risk, and the required creation of U.S. jobs. Direct investments and regional-center investments involve different documentation and considerations. Immigration eligibility does not establish investment quality, and permanent residence generally begins on a conditional basis before a later petition to remove conditions.
